UX Research

User experience (UX) refers to how people interact with technology in their daily lives. UX research refers to research for creation, testing, and improvement of experiences that are not only practical but also intuitive and enjoyable for users. It plays a pivotal role in developing innovative digital products, from specialized workplace tools like organizational decision support systems and robotics to everyday consumer items such as smart appliances, websites, and apps. As an interdisciplinary field that draws from business, design, and technology, UX research has a broad impact on product innovation in various industries including Healthcare and Medical Services, Information Technology (IT), Financial Services and Banking, Retail and E-commerce, Hospitality and Tourism, Entertainment and Media to name a few.

Eye tracking offers a unique window into subtle yet crucial aspects of user behavior, such as attention and effort, that are challenging to capture with traditional research methods but are essential for effective product design. Beyond enhancing product design, when combined with AI, eye tracking paves the way for next-generation smart technologies. Join us to explore and discover how eye tracking can transform your approach to UX research and product design.
  • Mastering the Art of Interviews: Techniques, Preparation, and Synthesis (Ellen Carey), Hagglund
In UX research, interviews are essential for gathering deep insights into user experiences and behaviors. However, the success of these interviews depends greatly on selecting the right method, thorough preparation, and the ability to make interviewees feel at ease. This workshop explores the subtleties of different interview techniques, guiding you in choosing the best approach to meet your research objectives. Additionally, the workshop covers effective strategies for synthesizing qualitative feedback and converting it into quantitative insights.
